Inspection of ventilation and air conditioning systems

according to the VDI 6022

"When room air makes you sick..." - Air quality can have a significant impact on people's health, which is why the legislator imposes very high requirements on ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems via compliance with the state of the art.

The VDI 6022 series of guidelines applies to all occupied rooms in buildings. As an operator of office buildings, administrative buildings, production facilities, schools or commercially developed real estate, such as hotels, you are responsible for the perfect condition of the air handling systems and the indoor air quality.

In order for the air handling systems to guarantee the required physiologically favorable indoor climate and hygienically perfect indoor air quality, the hygienic requirements of the systems must be met on a permanent basis.

For this purpose, regular technical inspections and maintenance, as well as short-term hygiene checks by operating personnel and additional hygiene inspections by specialist personnel are necessary and prescribed by VDI 6022.

It has been proven that people in air-conditioned buildings (e.g. at the workplace) become ill much more often if the air quality is not hygienically perfect due to a defective air handling system.

A healthy workplace means caring and employee retention, and also reduces the cost of sick leave.
